The Brio doesn’t directly record a meeting – that is done by the video conferencing software – the camera and audio of the device follows the software and enables the expected high-quality recording. That said, it is designed to work with any video conferencing software, including Skype, Bluejeans, Google Hangouts, Vidyo, Zoom, Lifesize Cloud, and ‘just about any conferencing software that will run on a USB-enabled computing system’, says Logitech. However, as technology and internet connectivity improves, owning a Brio will come into its own.

There is a catch: at the 4K level, the Brio isn’t really designed as a video conferencing webcam since Teams and Zoom only support up to 1080p video. With UHD (ultra-high-definition) 4K resolution, at 1440p, it also offers 4K video at 30 frames per second (FPS), high-definition (1080p) at 30 and 60 fps, and 720p for 90fps. The Logitech Brio 4K Pro is here to make it right.

Most integrated laptop webcams provide a poor visual experience for those watching from the other side, as they are at either 720p or lower resolution, resulting in grainy or low-res video.
